Explore a dreamy Kansas City engagement session in the Library District and Liberty Memorial, with tips from a KC wedding photographer.
Springtime in Kansas City is one of my absolute favorite seasons for a Kansas City Engagement Session. The change of seasons really is the ultimate mood boost! The warmer weather, blooming trees, and all that fresh greenery—it’s also the perfect backdrop to capture your love story! This is usually when engagement sessions start to pick up for my Kansas City wedding couples! I couldn’t be more excited to be back outside, capturing these sweet moments.
For this session, I brought Deb and Jackson to one of my favorite spots for a downtown Kansas City engagement session: the Library District. It’s full of character, with gorgeous architecture that adds such a timeless and elegant touch to any photo. We spent the evening wandering the streets, soaking up the golden light, and laughing the whole way through.
To catch the last bit of sunset, we headed over to another iconic spot! The lawn at Liberty Memorial. With sweeping views of Union Station and the Kansas City skyline, it’s truly one of the best places to end a Kansas City engagement session. The light was just right, and Deb and Jackson absolutely glowed.
Additionally, let’s talk about their outfits—because wow. I always send my couples a detailed session guide with location ideas, outfit inspiration, and tips to make planning easier. Deb wore a stunning linen dress paired with sandals! Jackson’s entire look—from his linen shirt to matching pants—was from Abercrombie. It’s one of my top recommendations for couples prepping for their session. This is because they have the best neutrals and timeless staples that photograph beautifully.
